That car was done with a DA only. Rotary would have taken longer since we would have had to wool the car, then chase out the marring from the wool, then chase the holograms out. Dont get me wrong, rotaries are great, but sometimes its not worth it depending on what people are paying etc.

Very true, I hear you there. I bet a good cutting pad from Lake Country and Meguiar's 105 would not have required that much, Wool is really there for oxidized paint thats in bad shape. That car was not horrible.

We tried Orange pads and 105 on the rotary, it did not cut as fast as the surbuf pads and SIP. Have you guys ever tried the surbuf pads? If not I would suggest it. They work very well.

Thats perfectly fine, it keeps you from burning through the clear coat. So the pad and chemicals need to be worked into the paint.

I suspect I will be picking up a DA for smaller or harder angles but what I work on has a lot of broad surfaces which makes it easy to work.

Yeah autopia gave me a virus also at work today. Spent half the day chasing it out of my system.

I changed the link to a different site it was posted on so people wont get the virus.
