Default MarylandSpeed Meet & Greet @ Cruising OC Car Show- New Location!

What is Cruisin OC?

It's mid May and one of my favorite shows of the year is here. The Crusin OC show is attended by roughly 100,000 people and takes place every year the weekend before Memorial Day. Though the organized "official" show is primarily a classic car/hot rod deal, there also is a large contingent of late model muscle who also make the trek down to the beach. If you have never attended this event, I strongly recommend you try it one year. It's scope, and overall fun factor is really unequalled by any show in the area.

This year the cruise weekend is between May 17th and May 20th. Full organized event info can be found here-

About MarylandSpeed's Meet & Greet @ 45th Street Tap House

The Get Together will be Friday May 18th, and start @ 3:00 PM. In the past, we have had this at Carrabba's in West Ocean City. We are excited to announce this year it would be at the NEW 45th Street Tap House located in the old "Village" on 45th street. On top of the better access and visibility, this location has a large paved lot.

You don't have to eat @ the Taphouse to take part in the Get Together, however after meeting up outside, everyone is welcome to stay for dinner or join us in the lounge area for "conversation". We are inviting our customers from many of the boards we sponsor, so there will be Camaros, GTO's, Corvettes, and so forth. We will also have MarylandSpeed decals, and a little "something extra" this year to help your modding habit.

The Facebook event page where you can check in as going is here-
http://www.facebook.com/events/400950123270425/

The facebook page of the Taphouse is here-
http://www.facebook.com/pages/45th-S...44221169005456

IMPORTANT: Please respect our hosts. Do not do burn out's in the parking lot. Do not bring open bottles with you. Ocean City is extremely crowded this time of year, so it is very hard to find a restaurant willing to do this kind of thing. Thanks!

45th Street Taphouse Directions & Info-

Address-
4507 Coastal Hwy
Ocean City, MD 21842

It is easy to find...the restaurant is located in the village area on 45th street that used to be shops, and or clubs in the past. It is now being redeveloped into a restaurant area.

Directions are at the link below-

IMO this is the best event on the east coast because you can actually take part in cruising your vehicle too! will the decals cost money?

Ditto that !

We go down for the whole week every year, Sunday to Sunday. The Beachmark hotel @ 74th is where we've stayed for the last 10 years or so. Lotsa big HP cars there.
I'll try to hit the gig on Friday. The Flowmasters on my car came from you guys.

I heard someone in a gto killed someone on a scooter. Its a shame when irresponsibility turns into tragedy.

No...

From what I understand (and saw of the aftermath), a black 1st gen CTS-V was turning into the 45th street shopping center when a scooter coming down the bus lane did not yield. The scooter crashed in the side of the caddy, and the guy driving had no helment on got pretty messed up. Nothing I saw/heard indicated it was the cars fault.

I have not seen any firm info on the fate of the scooter driver.
