Anyone here do paint/plasti-dip in or near MD?
Long story short, I want to do my whole car in plasti-dip for the summer. I don't have a garage and don't want to spray it outdoors if I can help it. I've found a couple shops that do plasti-dip now, but I figured I'd see if anyone on here does it before I call around.

FWIW, I read on another forum that you actually should "roll it on" when you are doing a large area, like a whole car. That eliminates the airborn contaminant problem. That's what I'd do. Heck, have a Plasti-Dip party and invite some friends over. If you screw up, just peel it off and start over. Just a thought.

It's so easy to plastidip your car. Not sure why you would worry about doing it yourself. Did my manta on my hood and it came out awesome. You will need to do about 4 coats. Start off with a light coat for the first two, then get progressively get heavier. Too easy to pay that much to have somebody else do it for you.

My friend just dipped his Audi and it actually came out pretty well. It took him about 2 hours in cleaning and he said 12 hours to do 4 (or did he say 5?) coats, granted it was his first time and he had a garage. But it came out mint! I'd say if you have the time go for it! Just start early and plan on it being an all day project since its your first time. I'm guessing you'll get the hang of how the plasti-dip lays after the first coat.
