Default Anyone have LS stuff done by Andy Jensen?

Just figured I'd ask if anyone has had headwork done by Jensen in PA. I grew up about 10 mins away from his shop in the town over. I know he's the man when it comes to SBC stuff, haven't read anything about LS stuff though.

If anyone has some info I'd love to hear it!

Thanks in advance.

They built my fully forged LS2 in my TBSS and did some LT1 head port & polish work. Top notch. The guy who does a lot of the LS work has a big cube, big HP T/A street car. Not sure if he's on here anymore or not.

I recommend them to everyone looking for a machine shop in NEPA.

Jensen is one of the best period bar none. I would trust him to do any engine, to be completely honest an SBC is harder to work with than an lsx.

Sweet, looks like I'll be taking a small drive after work in the morning.

Thanks guys.

He turned away a fella for cam bearings due to "he doesn't want to work with aliumium". So I'd recommend Burns & Yost to anybody anymore, out of New Ringgold/Clamntown PA

Sorry, didn't have a chance to stop by yet.

I'm not taking the whole engine, just the heads.

He did the 1/2 head studs In my LS 6.0 block a few years back. He had to buy a special milling bit to do the job right, and he still got it done quick and with a very fair price.studs threaded right in the block and Heads slid right on so the machine work was perfect. He has one of the fastest SBC's in the country and has experiance with some nasty SBX heads, I think he can handle your basic LS1 heads no problem

He has held many small block records, I've heard of him since I was a small kid. He does dirt track engines, drag race engines.. Pretty much anything small or big block. He has a great reputation as an engine builder. When someone says they have a Jensen motor around here, they usually mean business.

I just haven't heard of any gen 3-5 stuff coming out of his shop. I know he now builds LS based drop ins, but haven't actually seen one or talked to someone who has had porting or a build done.

This. He's done work for a few guys I know, and has a very LS-fluent guy that's been with him forever.

I'd have no concerns about giving him anything, and tend to worry about things nearly anytime someone does work for me.

I actually wound up with stock 243s that are ready to bolt on. I'll be going to Andy when I swap a cam in for some head work for sure.

I had a short block machined and assembled there this winter. 400" LS motor that I will hopefully be firing up this week. While my motor was there tthey were in the middle a building another shop off to the side where they now have a chassis dyno and fabricattion capabilities. I think it was 6 weeks from the time I called and dropped parts off until the short block was done.

I just dropped my 243s off and the place is nice. Andy seems like a nice guy too, super swamped with things to do though lol.

Getting a "competition valvejob", media blasted, and new valve seals. They'll be like new heads when I get them back.

I wasn't going to have work done to them, but I started cleaning them up today and realized they needed a valve job bad. Most of the intake valves leaked crazy amounts of carb cleaner when cleaning them.

So I called his shop, got a ball park price and met up at his shop an hour later. I'll update when I get them back!
