What else do i need to install cd player?

What else do i need to install cd player? well the stock head unit took a dump on me last week, convenient considering my warrantee ended last month 
So Im more than likely getting a new one that can play MP3 data cds. SO what else will I need to do the install, is there a different harness Ill need as well as the mounting around the head itself.
Im not too savvy in the audio department.

you'll need ther wiring harness and mounting kit . can pick the stuff up at bestbuy,circuit city, ect... even walmart actully now that i think of it.
splice connectors, electrical tape, few beers lol
should be all set after that
oh also i believe its a 7mm socket for the bolts that hold it in

Adapter bracket and the wiring harness, thats it. Just remember, most head units have 4 outputs so without an amp your probaly going to lose your two subs in the middle of the car.
4signals in to the factory amp, six signals outstupid *** setup
go to best buy, pick the radio out and tell them you are going to install it yourself and ask them what else you will need, they will set you up nice. do you already have a radio that you want?

I went back to my stock head unit and I liked the sound more, you need some sort of bass.
there is also the option of leaveing the stock radio there and put the new one in the glove box, console or some unique location if you dont want to buy the adaptor and stuff.

Verdad Gallardo well the problem is that the new radios themself have internal amps for the speakers but only for 4 speakers, and i am not sure if the factory amp works with the new radios. i am not sure if it is relievent but when i did my system i had best buy do it and now my back 2 speakers dont work.

Kenwood and Alpine are the only two brands I would spend money on if I was caring about sound quality. When I was into car stereo's (spent way too much) my alpines were always clearer then all.

i am thinking about putting my whole system up for sale. if you want to check it out it is in the for sale section, it might be over kill for you but you never know.
