Default Thanks to Slowhawk & crew.

Thank you Don, Keith, Joe & Marcel for the great job you did on my Spec Stage 3F today. Even though Marcel showed up just in time for lunch.

Don, I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me and my SS.

I love the clutch. Very streetable. You would not know it was an aftermarket if you were not told. However it does seem to grab a lot harder. Can't wait to get it to the track.

Time for a Cam.

DS loop looked like it went in easy. You woule have to ask Keith (Badpewter-Z) he put it in. I took a pic of him while he was doing it.

The DS loop looks nice, but does hang lower than the tunle brace. About 3-4" lower.

Did they do all this work on there back or do they have a lift? Sound like alot of work on your back.

Dave do you notice if your rpm's come up any quicker with the flywheel?

Yes they did it all with jacks & jack stands. Did not drive the car in a way to tell how quick the rpms come up. Still in the break in period. I thought you did your SPEC clutch ace?

No it's no a spec and it's still in the box. I was looking at that trany thinking how it would feel when it falls on my face. I've done clutches before 3 speeds 4 speeds and a few 5's in some mustangs but they were not heavy.

I don't want to buy a trany jack just to put that in. I was looking for an adapter I can put on my floor jack but I can't remeber who sold them.

that's all you need..i helped do a clutch outside already on my back and it wasn't bad the tranny is manageable enough to lower it on any jack.

The tranny is small. I did a 700r4 in my driveway on my 86 camaro. a friend bench pressed it into place while I bolted it in.

I like to use guide pins to help out and my knees to hold it steady while I bolt it in.

The turbo 350 in my 68 FB sucked ***.

If the clutch is aligned right it isn't a problem, but if it is off a tit hair it's a bitch to get it in.By myself I use a jack operated with my leg then it is a little difficult to hold steady going into the motor. The biggest thing is not to let the weight of the tranny rest on the motor because it can snap the oil sender and possibly the intake.
