mustang vs camaro, firebird at englishtown this saturday.. englishtown is having an f-body vs mustang day this saturday. I am coming up to visit some friends and attend a wedding. I will be going to this race saturday to have some fun. I am coming from GA so if anyone is going please come up and say hello. I will be in my Red 88 Trans am. Depending on the tech guys I hope to sneak a few 9sec passes in....

BTW, Etown's Tech is tough so if you're not legal I'd bet you're gonna have a problem.

yup those bastards would not let me run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was legal foreverything but one stupid thing!!!!!!!! damn mufflers!! I e-mailed them several times to make sure I had everything ready. The reply i got from them was on saturday its muffled cars only! i was ok cool Im good... well i get there and they say oh wait no bullet mufflers allowed. I went off!!! I told them this is bulshit and I still have the e-mail from them and they were like ohwell to bad. they would not let me even make one pass after a 17 hour ride!!!!!!!!!!!! talk about pissed off...
so then eddie from the tower tells me look I am soryy but I cant make an exception for you then I would have to do it for all.. so he tells me to come back weds when yhou can run anything and even open headers. so I am ok cool. then he gives me a free pass to get it... well guess what, they where closed this weds for preperation of the nationals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you want to talk about pissed off!!!!!! all I can say is that place sucks and I love my tracks here in the south!!!!!!! no bullshit like that!
not to mention the $$$ in fuel it cost me to get there!!!!!!!!! 210.00 there and 215.00 back!

Yeah the nationals are going to happen this weekend. BUT there are 2 more tracks in the area. If you are still in Jersey, check out ATCO which is off of exit 7 on the Jersey Turnpike. You also have Island Dragway in Jersey which is off of Route 80. Where in the south did you come from to race up here?

Drew drove up from Georgia. That really sucks. Mufflers?? They are tough. The faster your car is, the harder they look at it. I say a muffler is a muffler and let it be. Your car must have been pretty loud. Sorry you drove up for nothing. Etown has done some good things in recent years but I think they get alot of **** from the township as far as noise goes. I always here this and that about residents wanting to close the track down so I guess they have to follow the township rules to a "T".
