Default First time at NED

Finally went to NED today, and boy did I have fun but dissapointed. 1st run was 15.8!!!! But my best run was 13.8. I don't know if I should go next week too but oh well. My problem was trying to grip, just spinning too much. But I am happy that I know what it is like up there. Comments are welcome

Thats good for your first time out.... I left at 5 after the track rental, I was going to stay for street night, but I'd had enough and the track was starting to go down hill.. It's always a blast going to the track..... as long as nothing breaks

first time out is not the time to have impressive numbers. Practice will put you in the 12s

Yah the right lane seems favored, why? I went in both and I didn't feel different. I might go this Wednesday and I won't be as nervous as I was the first time. Yes it is an M6. What PSI are y'all running your tires at?

what were you getting for 60' times?

on my street tires (BFG KDWs), i normally run them at like 36psi on the street (to help with gas mileage)... and i've tried them at the track with anywhere between the 36psi all the way down to 20psi, and saw no noticable difference with my 60' times... which doesnt really make sense to me, cuz lower pressure should mean a bigger contact patch... but then again, they are street tires, and sometimes the hole is like glass from all the hot melted rubber getting cold and smooth...

assuming you are on street tires, you might want to try to get behind a car with real slicks, then try to line up in his rubber when you go to the line. hopefully it will still be warm, and you might be able to create some artificial traction. i'm obviously no expert on launching, but sounds good in theory

oh yeah, you're pretty much in the same boat as me... your trap speed is approximatley the same as mine, so as soon as you learn to launch, you could shave at LEAST 3-4 tenths right there (more if you are willing to beat up your clutch more). you're in my HP range as well, so i'm curious as to what your shifting style is like? i know i definatley have room for improvement in my shifting speed, so i'd be willing to bet that you have room for improvement as well...

haha i asked don the same thing. I guess because when they do smaller events they only open one lane and its the right lane, therefore the right lane has more rubber which is more traction, and thats why there will be more people waiting for the right lane

I powershift and it chirps 2nd and 3rd gear . On the street I hook pretty well because i remember beating an Evo when the WS6 was stock. I did two doughnuts before that kill. I think it is all in the burn out. Line lock is my next mod.
