Question Dragstrips In CT?

I'm just wondering if there are any tracks in CT that are worth going to, I dont care if its an 1/8, I just want to work on my launching before I make a 2+ hour trip to LVD or E-town.

Plus if any of you drag vets want to give me a hand poping my track cherry it'd really help me out.

arent you from Newtown???

if so we used to race on RT25 connector at night it is not a busy area and you can have plenty of room to make some "test" launches and full runs without any problems, just wait till late at night

Yeah I've got no problem launching on the street, but now I'm going to have to learn how to launch with a TC, DR's and a sticky track.

Plus it would be nice just to get a feel for actual track racing, I mean I'm not going to make completly rookie mistakes (i knows not to drive strait thru the water-box ) but it'll still be my first time, and that means I'll probibly **** something up. It would be nice if I didnt have to spend all day driving just to **** up for my first time

The SVTOA track rental @ LVD is always a great time. Lots of runs, so you can get use to racing. Not sure when it is this year. Also test & tune days @ NED are great too.

Don't put so much pressure on yourself. When you get to the track just take it all in. Watch a few cars go through the water box, burnout, line up. Just concentrate on the lights. Don't worry about reaction time. Once you get one run under your belt you'll know what to do better the next time. You're not gonna get your best time on your first past.

I don't think there's going to be one this year, its always the last Friday in April, so they'd have a post about sign ups by now. Its a shame, that was always a great event.

Going to try to do the one in May that Steph posted up some time ago. Rentals are always worth the extra money.
