Default Wheelie bars for f-body

Anyone know who makes a good pair of wheelie bars that fit an 02 f-body without any major "hacking" to the bumper and gas tank???

Your Dad should've had the wheelie bars on the LS7 car today, Justin. Maybe he wouldn't have stood the car on the rear bumper or bent things up like that. Lucky it wasn't worse....with the new slicks, that car is really a savage. WJ

Doesn't have to.Have a chassis shop move the instant center forward.Unless your torque arm is already height adjustable.

what tq arm is on the car? I'm with slowhawk, at the power level that car is at, I dont't think it should be going on the bumper no matter what tire is on it.

heres the only pick we found, NED's camera guy wasnt out there, but oh well, when it came down, it broke the rack, bent the header into the oil filter causing a synthetic oil mess at NED that took 2 hours to clean. We havnet got the car on a lift to check out if there is any more damage yet.

Jeff, call me on this. I have a local fabrication guy that has done some wheelie bars without the need for tank removal. I did mine with the stock panhard location and stock tank but needed to cut the rear floor pan a bit. I also have some suspension tricks to keep the wheels down.

I'd put an O-**** bar on there too so it might save some parts next time.

Needless to say, the NED management was not impressed w/having to do that oildown cleanup, however, there were quite a few blown motor oildowns on Sat., also. They did get the complete show done, regardless. A good job by the NED crew on Sat. Traction was superb, as well. WJ

Ouch, that had to have hurt. To think I did the same thing a month ago and I was just driving on the roadway. I bent my k-member, cracked the front bumper, dented the headers and cracked a wheel in half all because of PENN DOT and the roadway buckling.

Glad he's okay, that must have been pretty nerve racking.
