That's cool. Gotta keep the lady in your life happy.....BTW, Northeast Grassdrag Series race in Colebrook, NH both this Sat. & Sun. Last big grass race in New England for the year. Many of the top guns will be there. Weather's supposed to be good....Again, congrats on the purchase of the Blizzard. WJ

I did not go w/my brother to NY race last wknd, but have been to most all others. The big motor mod classes have been dominated pretty much by Ski-doo and Arctic from what I've seen but I was told about a lightened Turbo Yammy that's a real killer. Must be the 1 you're talking about. Will let you know if it shows this wknd. WJ

Usually the Hooper powered sleds clean up in the open mod class with the occasional Ski-Doo thrown in the mix. Theres usually no beating Chris Anderson on the grass, but Sno-X is a different story. I had to run against him a couple years ago when I had my Formula XPS-II 600HO, he did almost as bad as me

Yamaha Apex ER = 555lbs
Ski-Doo MXZ 800 = 479lbs

Send the ECU out for a tune Made a big difference on one of our 800's. I believe the Crank Shop still does it.

We'll see. I'm not to sure how the sled will do yet. I just know alot of ppl like to dog yamaha for weight before ever really trying it out. Besides that 479 pound for an MXZ is one with no electric start either. Put electric start in and you add 15 pounds so your up to close to 500. Will that 45-50 pounds really make the difference like I said we'll see. Honestly I see alot of ppl trying to compare the Apex to an RX1, and i'll be honest the RX1 does suck but you can't compare the two.

I didnt buy the sled to be a race machine. I bought it for basically all the other reason's. Seened to me to be the most reliable sled. Weight was an issue when i bought it but the pros out weighed the cons when it came to the final decision. Like i said i didnt buy it to be a race machine and if i did, I told Noyzee just throw a turbo setup on it and its game over team ski doo
