I can't imagine what you could build.. you can't build (in Rockland) a house closer than 10 or so feet from your property line..

The ******** up here are so against a "drag" racing track. I live 1 mile from Orange County "dirt" track in Middletown, and everyone loves that, go figure.

not to far from my work... theres a road up in goshen thats easily 2 miles straightaway that i never see other cars on. i wonder if its the grass field next to it ...

according to the map, it's an old railroad bed not too far from the prisons in Otisville, not too far off rt 211

Yeah and they tried back in '01 or '02 to propose a track up in Highland, way out in the boonies, and it got shot down. I'm suprised they have left the dirt track alone.

And I figured it must've been a railroad bed for that kind of property size.

There is a couple straightaways in between Goshen and Florida, NY. Flat and straight for a couple miles. There is ample land and opportunity up here for a drag strip. It's just that everytime someone attempts to get one going, it gets shot down. It's a shame.
