The word's out....
....that NED is going to start enforcing the s.f.i. approved flexplate rule, the automatic transmission blow shield rule, and the s.f.i. approved harmonic balancer rule if you're running faster than 11.0 w/your LX-powered car or truck, so get ready to have what you need when you go up to run. s.f.i. approved scattershields for the stick guys, as well. what do you need exactly to show the tech guy? I have all that stuff on my car.. do you just need the #'s off them for the tech, do they need to see it, some paperwork or something? I know the asp balancer is sfi approved, it's got the sticker on it, hughes flexplate had the sticker, the csr shield had a sticker too.... but I don't think I can see the #'s on them now.
BUt, if they are teching a car on the way in and it's on the trailer, they could look under the car and see them.... is that good enough?

Other than the flex plate, the rest of the required safety pieces can be seen visibly by a qualified tech while vehicle is on the trailer when coming thru the inspection line, or by jacking it up if driven in. If they see the damper, blowshield, they'll ask if you've got the flexplate (autos). Believe me, you start running sub-11 sec. #'s, they pay more attention to you, regarding having the required equipment, for your safety and all the other people working around the starting line and at the track in general. If you race more than just once or twice a season, it pays to get the '07 tech sticker--everyone knows what a PITA the long lines are for the weekly tech-ins. WJ

BSM- My car is going to skip 12s
I told Jason I wanted to beat his car this year, I just need to pony up the $$ to do so. I need some AFR205s, anyone got some for sale?
Either that or break the rear.

True, Safety is important, but blows. I mean just that stinking bell housing you got must of cost $400.
