New BEST with the Vette 11.4@125mph WOOT!
Well I went to Cecil today 6/16 for the Vette day at cecil. The track didnt stay prepped to well due to everyone running street tires. Kept taking the rubber and VHT away So I had the car out to see how it would do on the ET streets 11.5/16s and skinnies in the front. Previous best was 12.3@124.01 with a horrible 60ft and leaving on and off 3 times due to wheel hop on street tires with heavy Z06 rims/tires. Runs are as follows:
1st pass(immediately after 1.5hr drive)
60ft-1.882
330ft-5.142
1/8th-7.808
1/8th-96.85mph
1000ft-9.958
1/4mi-11.796
1/4mi-124.13
2nd pass
60ft-1.925
330ft-5.120
1/8th-7.684
1/8th-97.48mph
1000ft-9.889
1/4mi-11.706
1/4mi-125.23
3rd pass
60ft-1.698
330ft-4.873-(smacked the rev limiter hard in 1st and 2nd a tad due to car was swerving hard)
1/8th-7.526
1/8th-95.49mph
1000ft-9.761
1/4mi-11.601
1/4mi-124.02
Best pass out of a couple others was this run:
60ft-1.728
330ft-4.857
1/8th-7.420
1/8th-95.45mph
1000ft-9.619
1/4mi-11.438
1/4mi-125.15
I was trying to take it easy on the car due to I didnt get the DTE trans brace on yet and I have to drop it off at the bodyshop again monday plus i didnt shift to hard on her just to make sure everything stayed together for the 1.5hr drive back. I dont like bench race but i got so exited thinking about it when it gets colder out and launch the car hard I feel confident in a very low 11sec pass if not.....???HMMMM maybe????

Great time Bruce! I know you can squeeze just a tad bit more out of the old girl with that Zturd/Fartpipe factor lol. Glad to see you in a nice fast car again (that isn't stuck in the garage with problems all the time like the last one). I wish I would have been around when you had the old '98 Cayenne Z, but its good to see you having some LS1 fun again.
