Default Well I finally got an ls1

I'm new here and I suck at taking picture's but...

It's a 98 auto, prob the slowest ls1 out there but hey it's a start! The t-tops are pretty cool, I can't wait to get her registered.

My 98 wasn't to slow even though it was an Auto. Get yourself a nice sized stall and that'll change your view on it.

I love white almost as much as NBM, a 99 35th Anni car was in my list. Too bad the one I wanted was waaaay too much $$$ even though it was t-top, leather, 6 speed, Procharger and ESP tuned.

I saw it today actually, I was quite envious.

Thanks chris. Yeah I may consider a stall in the future but I am hoping to enjoy it as it is now, the passing power is great, i've had turbo cars in the past so i'm not used to all this torque coming on right when i want it, it's great.

That blown trans am sounds like a hell of a car.

edit: actually i'm thinking of getting an exhuast and lid for it, i hear those help out nicely. It's pretty restrictive stock right?

Jimmy, I have a GMMG and an SLP lid which I will sell. Dry nitrous kit too. Let me know if you want/ need anything.

I also sell replacement brakes for front and read- lifetime warranty on pads.

GMMG is only one of the best sounding exhaust for a stock style exhaust car. (AKA no long tube headers or similar). I'd buy it if i were u...

Oh and not all cars came with TC. My 98 doesn't have a fun button...

1st thing id do is a full tranny service, shift kit, cooler, a yank 3500 rpm stall, some gear, and that car will drive out nice and feel stock, Lid and cat back then LT headers. it will certainly be a fun ride.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it. I'm really paranoid right now that something will happen to it, I wish I had a garage. I was wondering, if I don't get a stall anytime soon (i'd rather not launch the car hard at this time anyway since I just got it) would u still recommend getting a cooler, or is it not needed without a stall or gears?

Nice car there. Looks identical to mine, even down to the year. Check the inside of your drivers side door and see what gears it has (GU5=3.23's or GU2=2.73). Mine has factory 3.23's with the A4 and it's definitely not slow. I agree with the guy above who recommended the tranny service unless you know the history of the car. That would be the first thing on my list. Congrats man!

Thanks guys, I'll look through the paperwork she gave me and see if she did any tranny service to the car before, if not I'll do that first. I'm really contemplating a dry shot but she's got 103k on the clock and I just got it so I'm worried about hurting it with...i was thinking 100 dry shot (i read ls1's can handle those pretty easy with no other upgrades). I have a check engine light code p1415 right now, have to look into that and see what it is, I'm assuming some sensor or something for emmissions?

edit: found the info on the code, secondary air injectin diverter valve B may need replacing, that's no big deal right, do I have to replace it? lol I might see if auto zone has it or something.

Hey Jimmy first off welcome to the LS1 club. Secondly are you by chance the same Jimmy from CCDSM? You had a non turbo eclipse then turboed it? If so I swear you have to be the smartest guy ever, cause we did the same thing. I had a GS eclipse with a big turbo on it and then eventually moved on to the LS1 too!
