The 10 bolt excuse again? Cheesy, just give up. Stop blaming gm for a shitty rear. You can't manage a 13.5 without blowing apart an entire rear. The 10 bolt is fine, you can't drive. It should safely be good for a 12.2 - 12.5 run even with you behind the wheel. Its still weird that the slower you go the more you break stuff.

Put your car in a time capsule and revisit it 30 years from now. Between the usaf following you in F22 raptors on your way to work, the 40 cops you swear who are hiding in bushes waiting just for you and the trail of parts, the car isn't enjoying itself.

Good Point Joe!

Seriously Brian... Just get some DRs and go for it! The 10 bolt in my Trans Am held anything I threw at it without issue. I have made 10 passes now with ET Streets on the GTO IRS which everyone swears is weaker than the GM 10 bolt! Still quiet, no humming or grinding!! Who knows how many passes it has left in in, but there's only one way to find out...

Iam in as long as I can get my new M/Ts and my brackets welded up by then. And cheesey **** the stupid 10bolt. I did the same thing last time out and pretty much embarssed myself out there. Next time out I driving the car like it owes me money. If it breaks oh ******* well at least it broke trying.

On another note michelle will be bringing her car too for some fun.

Well, maybe it's time for me to get from behind the 10-bolt 8-ball and fix my weak point... Tired of risking the rear.... so I think I'll forgo the AFR 205's for a strange rear .. pricing 'em out as you read this...

12-bolt w 373's or 391's. (Then no need for 5th in the 1/4)

Don't waste your time... Go right for the Moser 9inch!! Come on Cheesy you've been around long enough to know that's where it's at!! That would be a good idea! So get a 9 inch and a set of ET Streets or equivalent then give it hell!!! Poor LS7 clutch might not like 4000-5000rpm dumps though!

Cheesy hasn't been around much if he thinks a 3.73 or 3.91 gear is the best. 4.10!!!!!

maybe I have, and car will be pullin' DD status in bumper-2-bumper traffic and driving mostly hwy ... still debating Yeah I know there is 2/10's between 3.73's and 4.10's . I'm thinkin' in long term, like I always have. I agree 4.10's are king but I have to compromise or figure out what works best 4 me.

Get a 9 inch and 4:11's are easier in traffic from a stop etc etc.

4.10's would be ALOT better in traffic pull away alot easier less stress on the whole drivetrain, less slip needed
also there not even close to bad on the highway with your six speed unless you plan on trapping over 132

80mph=2200rpm tops

do it once do it right

Cheesy prob likes to cruise at 1,100 rpm.

We all know you don't drice 80 mph, your a 60 mph guy. You'll be well under 2,000 rpm's and the 4.10's are easier on the car is traffic than anything lower. Your traffic is gay, it's not Boston type traffic and your less than a mile from work.

Don't forget the driveshaft either. You'll end up spending 15,000 to beef up the drive train and your first 6,000 rpm clutch dump with spear chuck the drive shaft through the floor and into your chest.....yes, you have the odds in your favor.

You should turb charge an oscar weiner mobile.

Cheesy if you get anything other than a 9" and 4.10's you're waisting you're time.

So whats the deal w/ 9/5, how much and where do you sign up?

Thanks Keith. Well if a certain tuner shows up that day to tweak my shift points (F'd up from gear/converter swap) I'll probably go . The car won't run too hot if it bangs the limiter on every shift a few times.

Will I get grief running around the 11.3-4ish range if I have no cage on a rental. Cause I ain't paying $100 for 1-2 passes.
