I drove mine open headers from my house to the exhaust shop... that was it... I figured the dual 3" cutouts were going to be plenty noise for me later on... no need to prolong it... I only uncap it on the dyno or the track...

This was my biggest fear of doing the cam swap, the swap went fine until I wasn't getting oil up top. So I had to put a new pump in it, but now i get fucked.
Search for the thread size of the crank bolt on here, it's M something or another. Don't you have the old one you pulled out? I always heard they were not reusable. Torque to yeild like the stock head bolts.
As for doing it in the car, the crank is not something I would take a hand drill to for a helicoil. The bit has to go in perfectly straight and then the hole tapped and the helicoil put in. If it's not straight then the bolt will be in a bind and most likely the threads will be damaged again. I am not even sure they sell a tap that long to reach the threads in the back.
OH yea, the reason you didn't have oil pressure was most likely the "O" ring on the pickup tube to the oil pump.

I'm looking for some 8.1L injectors (marine (42lb) or regular truck (31lb)).... keep your eyes peeled.
I'd rather have the marine injectors but the regular truck injectors would work fine. my stock 24lbers are going to run out of steam I'm pretty sure.

I1ULUZ: The new long tubes took less than an hour to get put in and bolted up. What took forever was the stock manifolds as they were all siezed up (and its factory kmember). On another note, im starting to get the feeling you're a little gaudy. I'd retort on your comment about the trailer park but the barracks might as well be considered one in the same. In case you happen to be uneducated (it certainly seems so to me) you can hit up dictionary.com and find out what "gaudy" means

But I wouldn't say the reason for the o2s being dead was having the exhaust off... just a coincidence maybe?
