Default Got my new Daily Driver

Nope not a Jeep or a Trailblazer...

Ended up getting a 2004 Greystone Metallic Bonneville GXP.

The car is awesome. Loaded with everything from heated seats/roof/HUD, northstar V8, 18" wheels, and drives almost like a luxury car. Definitely the most comfortable car I've ever owned. Plus the car looks almost brand new.

I really got to say I was quite impressed with the service I received from John Cooley from Hodgdon-Noyes Buick/Pontiac/GMC in Arlington MA. Probably the best and easiest car purchase I've ever made, top notch. I got a great deal and got a great car, so I'm pretty happy with my early Christmas present

*sorry no pics yet its pretty dirty right now since driving around yesterday in the sleet, but this will give you an idea

I think with this car I'm just gonna drive it and enjoy it. The T/A will be my toy and of course Don should see lots of that, but I'm just gonna cruis this one and not make a 2nd money pit

I might throw a CAI on it, but that's it, with hopes of increasing fuel economy. It's such a nice car to drive I really don't want to change much. I don't think there is much in aftermarket for the northstar either.

Nice ride! Makes me wish the weather was nicer so I could take my GXP out of storage for a little ride. I traded my T/A in on it last summer on my way through Kentucky to the Corvette plant. I happened to drive by a Pontiac dealership and there it was out front...a leftover, brand new, 05 Bonneville GXP in 2007.
I drove it home the 1200 miles and decided it was too nice to subject to daily driving, so it became collector car number 3 uggg.
Don't expect over 22 mpg out of it ever. Thats all I could squeak out of it on the ride home doing between 55 and 65 the whole time (braking it in). My mother routinely gets about 16 mpg in hers going back and forth to work, and she doesn't ever dip into it.

Actually I drive nearly 70 miles one way to work so it's all highway, I'm getting a combined mileage of 18 and on the highway I get 24 easy. I put 89 in it if it matter's.

It get's better mileage than my last ride so I'm happy. I drive it like a granny though. Driving style affects the mileage a lot.

It's funny I watch the active mileage on the dash and I'll be cruising on the highway and it will say something like 39mpg, then I give it 1/3 throttle and it says something like 9mpg LOL.

They are really nice car's but I'm afraid I'll be racking miles on this one. I mean It already had 64k when I got it, so it's no stranger to the road already. But It looks like it only had 10k on it.

Yeah about 1.5 hrs each way with light traffic. With my jeep I was spending about $140 for each week I drove in and weekends around town. So approximately $20 a day in gas, in this car I think it's about $15 a day. So hey that saves me like $35 a week which adds up.
