Default 68 Firebird for sale

My grandfather passed away and I can't keep my 68 firebird at his house anymore. It's located in Fairfield CT, I was going to restore the car but have no time or room and have a baby coming next month. It was originally a 2 barrell 350 pontiac. No motor in car but I have a 400 pontiac out of a late 70ish Trans am that came with the car that I was told ran fine when it came out but i cannot verify that. I pulled the floor out on the driver side but never put the new one in. I have new floor for the driver and pass side that I ordered but never put in. car comes with a 2 barrell intake and carbs which I think is the originals that came on car encase anyone wanted to sell them, and a tranny of which I dont know what it's from but i assume it was in the car, may be original. I have all the paperwork from pontiac historical services on the car as far as options etc.... Car obviously has some rust, roof has some surface rust etc... needs almost total resto but body is fairly straight except some bondo in the quarters etc... interior is out of the car and will be included. Front bumper is in pretty good shape has a ding in the very front. Has no back bumper. Asking $1250 obo. Can get pics if people are really interested.
Thanks
Ron H.

Tim, let's do a project old school 1st gen/LS1 build.

If it's even remotely straight/rust free, that is a good deal on that car.

real pontiacs get real pontiac motors my friend. LS1's are cool, but the rumble of an old poncho with a cam can't be beat.

Just to clarify. Considering the age it's pretty straight as far as no major accidents I can see and if you wanted you could sand it, do some quick body work and slap some paint on it and it would look decent, however does have a normal amount of rust, has some surface rust on the roof, and some spots here and there. some bondo on the quarters around the lower areas where they rust a lot. I really would love to restore it myself as a 68 Firebird is kinda hard to come by as they are getting sooo old and I like them a lot, I just don't have time for all the projects I have going on. The tires on driver side were going flat so it's on blocks. they may still hold air I'm not sure. I will have pics up this weekend.
Thanks
Ron H.

not looking for a quick fix and drive car really. 2, 3, 4, 5 years, it's all the same to me to make a car turn out the way it appears in my head. between the time involved and my lottery retirement plan taking it's sweet time to pay off, i don't mind waiting a while to make it right

Yeah I hear that, maybe a little SD455/Ram Air IV type scenario.
