I'd love to do something like that. Back in the homeland, one of my uncles and a family friend used to have a Pug 205 fully setup for rallies and the police was notified about the rally routes and as long as they did nothing too stupid, it was a free pass ... def. the best kinda fun

Our cars (nor y bodies) do not have the suspension travel necessary for true Pro/performance rallying, besides being not able to be competitive against the boosted AWD cars built for just that purpose.

Now tarmac 'targa' type OPEN CLASS rallies (on decently paved roads) are another whole story.

TSD (time/speed/distance) road rallies are determined by the skills of the driver/navigator team more so than whatever the make/type of ride.
ANYTHING can (and does) compete with a fair chance.

Its just for fun, its a Poker Run, draw a card at each checkpoint and the best poker hand at the end wins. Its pretty much for charity but its good times... I did it the last 2 years... this year we ended up on a dirt road in middle of nowhere maine for hours but its what its all about the porche gt3 didnt make it :O but the beast camaro made it through no problem weather, traffic, dirt roads, we had it all.....
