The LS3 intake arrived the first of the week, the Fast 92mm throttle body came UPS today. Now, I wait until November to see about heads, order a few miscellaneous things (MAP sensor harness, MAP sensor, intake gaskets, etc.). Get all of this stuff installed, then cam and converter..............then???

I'm new to this LS stuff, someone help me with my list!

When will you be installing your new intake?
I'm interested in your old one

I can't until I get the L92 heads. Blingole mentioned that he has a set, but I haven't talked to him about it yet. When would you be ready for it?

Well I still have a bunch of stuff I have to get before I really have to worry about it
I was just gonna get it if I ran across a deal
Pm a price so I can get my ducks in a row
It's no big hurry
I just wanna get things going
I'm getting anxious cause I'm so excited lol
My dad (the one helping me do this) keeps putting it down
Telling me that I'll be without a car for about 2 months cause my trans won't hold the hp, and that everything else is gonna go wrong
It's getting annoying
But
Good news is
I'm going to tear the Motor down tomorrow morning ;D

No no dave I don't have a set myself, I was talking about them brand new for 650 with valves and springs. I do actually know a guy that bought two sets and changed his build so he didn't use them. Ill call him tomorow and see if he still has them. Maybe that way you culd do like 500 for them.

Ok, I misunderstood. That would be good if you know of a set for around that much. Where have you seen a new set for $650, assembled? The ones I was looking at were $1,350 and flowed 320 @ .600. I think they were the 15 deg. heads, not the really high dollar ones that are 12 deg.

Either way, a stock head that flows 300 to 320 for around $1,000 is cheap. I have a set of Brodix gen 1, 23 deg heads (10 SP RI) that flow 332 @ .700 that new, were $2,700 bare! By the time I put Jesel pros and valves in them, I had over $4K in them. ........... I love this LS stuff!

Thanks...................my pipes, if Kooks isn't BSing me, will be here next week. I will call you.

ok let me do some quick researching before anything happens because i know for a fact i had l92 heads aseembled for less then 700.

But now i get anywhere from 5% to 10% over cost on these..
the 12629051 is for bare l92 heads and 12615355 is for assembled l92 heads with those solid exhaust valves.

Now since your not going to use the yellow springs and retainers these come with maybe the bare heads would be better for you and we just price out valves. Maybe we could do the hollow stem ls3 exhaust even though honestly im not a fan of them for durability but performance they do rev better if your pushing the 7k plus rpm range.

I need to keep remembering that I am not building a drag engine. Figure what would be a good set up for assembled heads, springs and valves for a hot street build and knowing that most of the time I will be cruising, not slamming it. let me know what it would cost including you making some.

Damn,.... hate to hear that you busted the upper dash cover. You'll have to talk to your better half, and when you get a new upper dash cover, see if she will let you bolt a new ZR1 3ZR underneath it!

Hey guys, I just sold my 2000 WS6 for an 09 CTS-V, so I have a set of drag radials on 15" weld rims for sale. Let me know if you are interested. Looking to sell locally so I don' have to ship.
