Default Bad accident on pensacola bridge!

http://www.pnj.com/article/20090604/...NTPAGECAROUSEL

In the pics thats my camaro. I'm in front with one of the ladies we had to pull from another vehicle! Of course hard to see!

http://www.weartv.com/newsroom/top_s...vid_1993.shtml

Just as in the the tv shows and videos demolitiong games I was traveling on the Escambia Bay Bridge coming from Pensacola and traffic began to come to a halt just past the crest of the bridge. Right in front of me was a 18 wheeler(later found out carrying osters) that NEVER slowed down! I watched cars jump out of the way of the semi but the truck just plowed into the cars. It was f*ckin crazy! Parts and pieces eveywhere.

I floored it to get to the final resting point of the vehciles and began checking on people. The first two cars I came to the people where ok and someone else had check on the other car next to the guard rail. There was only the semi left to check on and in my head i was expecting the worse.

I went to the front of the semi then realized there was a truck trapt half under the semi! I looked for the trapt driver and found him alive but heavily bleeding from his legs. Then out of all things somone yells the trucks on fire, myself and two other guys rip the door open, cut his seat belt and pull him out just as the whole dam thing goes up!

Then out of all things on the westbound bridge there was an accident from rubbernecking involving 3 vehicles and the person in the white sedan didn't make it.

What a f*cked up drive home!

Damn that is crazy, my mom was telling me about that this afternoon. She was saying the water below the bridge was on fire as well.

I find it odd that you can buy pictures of the accident. I'll refrain from my rubber necker statement.

It's great to see someone jump in and help out. You'll also have a pic of your car that nobody else on this earth probably has.

Is that the long *** bridge where there are signs that say hey make sure you have enough gas to make it across and all that stuff? I went to NATTC back in 02-03, I only went across that long *** bridge once.

No that one is only like 2 miles long if that.

There is a 7 mile long one that I am sure it says it, but it was not that one.

saw that on news last night, glad I passed the bridge an hour or so earlier...
There was another wreck westbound after that, shut the whole bridge down.

Thew whole incident was crazy. As we were pulling the driver trapped in his truck under the semi out we could see the fuel running down the bridge towards the drains.

My boss called shortly after it happened to check on me and thats when I found out the fuel had made it to the water below and was burning.

Found out today that the 23 yr old. girl that died(Kimberely Marie Gooden) and her driver were not wearing seat belts. She died at the scene and he was in serious condition at the hospital.

Crossed the bridge on the way home where the trucks burned and there is a sizable spot in both middle and inside lanes where the concrete began to melt/deteoriate. Amazing how hot it was/had to be to do so!
