Wow, you didn't just kill it, you murdered it! Nicely done sir...

I had the same thought process you did when I killed my 355 SBC back in 2003, putting a hole in the block. I decided to step up when doing a new motor, and that bug is still a problem today...

That's exactly like what I'm looking for.....but not enough money right now. Won't be until another year or more before funds are there for a full engine replacement. Would like to add a D1SC or F1A to the mix too.

I like the one pic where the intake and TB threw up on the floor. Looks like it had a late night at the track.

Probably a piece of one of the pistons.....traveled up through the intake runners of the intake and head when it went.

Why are the pistons upside down? That might hurt the sale.

Alright....I wanted to hold off and build this car up with a 4xx ci engine at some point, but the itch to drive her was starting to get to me. And....I found an LS1 long block for crazy cheap. Anyways, I gathered all my parts. Gonna go with a stock rotating assembly, 799 heads shaved 30 thousandths, and comp XER 236/242 cam. Annnndddddddd.....while I got the engine out, I'm gonna do some spring cleaning and clean up that engine bay! Here's a teaser pic of what I got done today
