Hopefully that beast will do better on parts with an auto behind the bullet.

As Derek knows, our little shop of friends is not scared of any custom work, so this will be a fun little project.
Good luck Brian. Any plans on doing a meet again soon?

I'll try and get something together soon. Been busy with work over winter break and now school is in full session, plus the car is down again.

And, picked up a 4L80E today. Got it for a cool $200. From a Chevy van, and was told it's probably a '92 unit.

As I bought her

getting ready for some cleaning

after cleaning

slip on yoke ftw!

And I started a thread on this swap.

Good chance that was me. I live over in that area and I was driving it around a lot before taking her down for the swap. Thanks!

And while I've got the transmission out and have down time.....I'm FINALLY getting to cleaning the underside of the car. I started by just grinding away at it and planned on just painting it. But a friend said to try some lacquer thinner, and sure enough that's been working great. It'll be a long process but it'll get done.

Alright, got about 10-12 man hours into it. I think it looks good!

Still need to hit the spots where I started grinding with a quick shot of primer/paint and it'll be good enough for me.
