Id say its possible, but its also possible that the SS office had also screwed up and issued the same number. I remember when I was 17, got kicked off the job site day one because my 'numbers didnt match'. Get to the SS office and find out that only my name and birth month were correct. I was turning 33 that year... So I recommend calling the SS office. GL!

its prolly just a fake address anyway. that address is like 7-8 miles from my job and its not a very good neighborhood. when i used to do reposessions one of my co-workers got shot at in a dead end street just a couple blocks away from that address. the whole stealing tax returns thing seems to be pretty common around here. the same thing happened to one of the guys that works in the warehouse at my job.

Until you find out the person stealing the SS number also gave a fake address or address that wasn't theirs. Then a nice 70+ couple answers the door with your handgun in their face. Spike Lee much?

direct deposit would make it much easier for the IRS and FTC to locate the person.
