Default Norris saved my car!!!

I had my TB ported and installed it myself, the day after I had Mike install an ASP U/D Pulley and I was very happy with the car, big difference! Today I decided to show up at Mike's shop and get it dyno'd and see the gain from the last two mods were and guess what, my freaking air to fuel ratio was like almost 14, lean as hell! Little retune and here is the man who saved another LS1 motor, Thanks again Mike and I'm very happy with the new #'s! I guess the PTB screw up my A/F ratio

So the pulley and the PTB added 12rwhp and 4rwtq, damn good I'd say
Mods and new # in sig
I appriciated Mike

I'm sure the stall is next for Jeff.

He'd probably go home and order one right away if he ever had enough ***** to line up next to me at the track.

Another example of the need to check after every mod. Could have been melted piston time if Mike had not found it!

Mike Norris has kept my car in check for many years. There are a lot of great shops out here nowadays and there are a lot of competetive engine builders and tuners.

You can't go wrong with Mike. Even though I am out of the F-Body game for awhile, Mike will be seriously involved in my next endeavor/project. It's coming soon.

Glad Mike was able to take good care of you ... something he is very well known for doing.

A 14:1 A/F mixture would be rich not lean. You didn't need a tune if it was 14:1. Thats almost perfect.

technically 14:1 is damn near perfect which is a hair away from too lean. Should be closer to 13:1 at WOT

14 is the parts air, and 1 is the parts fuel. So it is on the lean side....especially at WOT. Safe tunes are the rule w/good tuners.

Yes 14 is the air and the 1 is fuel, which is rich. Less air to more fuel is rich.

Anything under 14.7:1 is rich and anything over is lean.

You're wrong. A good safe yet powerful tune on these cars is around 13:1.

14.7:1 is lean by anybody else but your standards.

Well I'll tell you what!!! If by all means, Mike says it lean, its lean, I trust him more than anybody with my car, maybe I understood the number wrong but at WOT, the car was running pretty damn lean, not too bad, just enough to damage to motor at many WOT, especially me driving

Not following you....15.1 would be leaner yet, and 13.1 richer.....how would it be the opposite?

Also, we will NOT let a tune out that is any leaner than 13.1 out as detonation is sure to follow. It may make a few more HP on the dyno, but at the expense of a broken ring-land or burn't piston later.

Yeah that could've been a real devastator for your motor, glad the problem got found before any damage occurred.
You da man Mike
