This might be a bad Idea, but.......

this sounds like a great idea. i think alot of people want turbos but cant afford the APS and TTI kits. i think there would be alot of guys with this kit that end up with ebay intercoolers and custom cold parts but thats whats cool about this kit. Its kinda like the ebay hot kits but not with the questionable parts.
i live in henderson nc, not to far from Elizabeth city, but the only problem is i dont have an f body yet.........but if i did i would want the system to work with the stock K member and keep the radiator in stock location. A kit you can put on in the driveway without a special tools would be the shizz.

My main thing is the A/C and avoiding cutting my car - it should be possible to remove the kit and put everything back without hitting a junkyard to pick up a new front clip/etc.

I am just getting into research for a turbo build and definitly can't afford now but will put my .02 in. I think aftermarket K-member is a must, i dont care about A/C this isn't a DD and with the extra weight put on i'm sure gettin rid of it wont hurt. Hacking up the front i dont care as long as someone else does it, i couldn't do that to my baby. And as long as it fits put the radiator wherever you want.
If you still need a guinea pig i'm not far from there up in VA. I have a truck so wouldn't need back quickly, but not quite sure how much I would be able to throw your way. Also was looking at gettin an 88mm turbo which might not be ready but could be negotiated to an 80 or so haha.

This would be good but if the person buying the kit doesnt have the fab skills or tools needed the aftermarket k member, cutting up the front, and relocating the radiator will add the cost right back into the turbo kit pretty much elimanting the point of trying to make a cheap one. I know there are plenty of guys who wouldnt mind it because they could do it or they know someone who could do it cheap/free for them, but alot of guys dont and would have to go to a shop and pay to get the work done.
To me keeping the car close to stock without all the custom work would be part of having a cost effective turbo kit.

it would be awesome to have a kit in stages, you could get everything you need slowley without forking out 6-8k up front. I would like to keep radiator in stock location but dont really care to much for a/c though i know its important to a lot of people so i could go either way on that. i wanted to go procharger but this might change my mind if it comes out good i dont know many people that have 6k to just drop on a kit.

Also thinking about it you could do almost what Eric does with MWC 9". Kind of do custom kits per order. Have a general kit that you can produce with ease and can stalk but if someone wants something slightly different you just alter it. I know he does the general 9" but if you want something slightly different you could. Keep a basic model where everything stays stock then you can add/subtract money with alterations to models.

Well I have a little news:
We are now building kits for customers that drop off their car.
Labor is 1500
Parts for hotside is 500
Includes all flanges, piping, Truck mani's, and oil feed/return.
Turbos start at $600 and go up from there depending on power goals.
The cheapest we can build a full complete kit right now (turn key single turbo kit w/T70, coldside intercooled and JGS parts) is $3800
So if you are in VA, NC, SC, or don't mind a drive come on down.
Also anyone that buys any turbo from us gets our MINI Battery for only $80 dollars!!
PS. my frabricator is the ****....
Thanks Rob
