Tom Kempf and the Stenod Crew in Florida
Just seeing if anyone has any updates on them in Bradenton. We let them use our Precision 114mm turbo with billet wheel and am anxious to see their results. Please post up if anyone has information about the race. Thanks

We were there today, and saw the car make passes, but were just too busy trying to get other stuff taken care of to stop and take a look at times. Car looked real good though!

Congrats to Tom K and Stenod crew. The car was running good , the track was not great on Sat qualifying but in Sun eliminations the Red rocket ran 5.0s on every pass but lost to Dave Hance on a .004 redlight for Tom. Hance ran I think 4.94 to Tom's 5.03, would have been close if the Camaro was .004 green.

Good picture but wheelies don't win races, they make you pedal it. Have you seen our cars. They go well into the 1.2 60' foots on a "consistant" tune up picking the wheels up 1/2 inch. If Tom would get rid of the wheelies then he would go faster.

Saturday the track was all over the place. It rained all day Friday and they did a good job trying to get it to come around on Saturday. We tried to put more into it, but the car was ready for take off and that killed our qualifying chances on the second pass and the third pass didn't get much better. Our first round elimination pass was much nicer. The track stayed a lot more consistent all day. The nose stayed down pretty well through eliminations after we made some changes. We're currently heading up to Orlando now and should be there in a few hours.
I did post our elimination round videos up on YouTube. I'll be doing the same while in Orlando too. Just check our YouTube channel at http://youtube.com/stenodracing. You can view the Bradenton videos here: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_lis...A5A1E59D908F88

Here's the test pass that Tom was talking about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VDle18gzrY The video is still processing, it may take a few minutes before it shows up on YouTube.
60' - 1.254
330' - 3.292
1/8 - 4.929 @ 140 (Hmmmm, we're down 15 MPH )
I particularly like the coasting ET for the back half lol.
The camera angle isn't that great to figure out how far short of the 1/8th mile it blew off and I never drove out there to check. You can sort of tell by looking at the traction marks. Overall it's pretty killer with the loaner so far. Orlando should be pretty unreal this weekend. Let's see how well the field does @ 3400 pounds.

They had to do more than that. The car now runs two waste gates and two blow off's, where before we only had one of each. Stenod had to weld reinforcement straps to the intercooler seams as well as a few other details before Bradenton. During testing we found a few more things that needed some special treatment as well.
That's what is taking a bit more learning curve because we now have to get used to what the boost controller wants to do with both of the gates as well as with the larger turbo and never having a tune for any of that. It was a decent number of changes to make it challenging but I think we have a good handle on what we need to do. We'll know by Friday how well we got it under control.

Yes, the turbo is on there. I love it and will be keeping it! When I get back from Orlando I will get in touch with you. This Turbo really changed alot of things for us in the tune and chassis set up but I think we are getting it now. I went a 4.92 at 144 but blew off an intercooler hose before we crossed the 1/8th. Orlando will be fun; based on our past couple days of testing we will be very competitve with the best anybody has put down thus far!
Thank you for trusting us with the turbo!
