It ran exactly what I though it would 10.05 @ 134 with a spark plug wire off (oops), 9.63 @ 140 (foot brake) and 9.55 @ 141 with a 1.335 60 foot (2 step/trans brake set @ 2800 rpm). It was super crowded so I packed it up after 3 passes, my goal was a 9.5x, could have probbaly got in the 40s leaving a little harder off the trand brake but I didnt want to wait another 2 hours to make another pass - especially being 700 miles from home.

Pretty nasty cross wind but the DA was a reasonable 1500 feet, that was on 50/50 93 pump and VP unleaded 109. The D1SC had 7.25/3.7 pulleys, peaked right at 14psi. I'm very happy how its running, I still have a bunch or weight I can remove and with a 3.4 pulley + bigger injectors and some better weather it will be a 9.20 car. But honestly I like it just how it is so I'll leave it for a while..

I wish I knew you were going to be at Byron, it's so close to me. I would have met you to see the car and meet you in person.

I dont know why they took the vent off the axle tube, never had an issue there. That and the TH400 crossmember setup with that funky trans mount adapter plate is pretty silly, not to mention I had to make a 1" thick shim to raise the trans up to get close to right driveline angle, they should make a dedicated TH400 crossmember instead of trying to make 4l60 one work. Arent you glad you asked
I will have to check out the crossmember for the 400, I'm sure Moser could come up with something different. I don't recall Bob having any problems, but he has a glide in his. Yeah, vent in axle tube is the way to go. That is where mine is in the 12 bolt.

The glide crossmember is fine since its made for a glide, I assume they make this one to fit a 4L60 and they give you an adapter plate to make it work with a M6/TH400. Which is fine except a TH400 needs to be spaced up quite a but over a T56 and they didnt take that into consideration I guess. IMO it would be better to just make a crossmember for a TH400. Its a decent piece overall though and its about 35lbs lighter than what I used on the last car and didnt really cost any more than a regular 9" housing, aftermarket torque arm and TH400 relocation crossmember.

So far my M9 vent hasn't leaked at all. I'll mention it to Tim Irwin at Moser. Bob

Maybe yours in a different spot, I used the little bronze vent they gave me and I knew that was going to leak where the vent is located. Not a really big issue just a few drops after a couple passes, I used a different style vent and moved it a little higher with an elbow, still seeps a little after a few passes but nothing makes it to the ground at least.

Well.....................It leaks a pretty good bit. Nothing alarming though.
We can get it revised pretty easily.

Kevin your car is coming along very nicely you are going to be a high 8 second car again before you know it LOL!

Mine would leave a little a few drops in the pits after every pass, plus a good sized puddle in the trailer on the way home. A few drops of gear oil on a smooth trailer floor looks huge after a couple hours. Alarming no, annoying yes, I dont know why they put it there. First thing I thought when I seen it is 'thats gonna leak' I was going to drill/tap the axle tube when it was out of the car but I figured they put it there for a reason..

I'm leaving it just like it is, if I dont race it I can drive it and wax it lol. Injectors are maxed out, if I decide to go faster then I'll do a BS3, but once I do that its 8.50 cage, chute, relocated battery etc and if I wanted to all that I should have just kept the last one.

Besides I picked up one of these the other day, not sure what I'm going to do with it but its an awesome car. I wanted one since they came out and so far I love it..

I was getting sick of the TBSS I had (cool truck but they ride like poo) and wanted a G8 since they came out. Dealer gave me great money on the TBSS and cut a good deal on the G8 so I figured I'd try one out.

Its a GT, I have little use for a V6 one

I'll leave it stock, plenty fun as-is, may do some different mufflers and a CAI since ts WAY too quiet. I had it up in the mountains the other day and was pretty impressed how it handled for a 4000lb car.

My wife loves the thing, surprised yours doesnt like it.

Gah, I need to get some weight out of mine, I'm assuming we make similar power (7.65 and 3.4 pulley) but my 3966 raceweight sucks. GREAT job man, I'm impressed!

I'm using the 7.25/3.7 pulleys so you are spinning yours a lot harder, but you are probably 500-550lbs heavier - that does have its negative effects on ET..

Yea, its been about 15 years since I've been there, used to race there all the time. Not much has changed except you dont have to go to the tower to get your time slips any more

Yea, good point. You have a sick build regardless though, one question. I'm not sure if you do it, but how is it driving around as far as exhaust noise etc. I'd love to quieten mine down.

It was a lot quieter with the single 3" muffler, the 4" is pretty loud but its tolerable. If I was to drive it a lot I'd make a 4" to 3" adapter and swap the 3" muffler on for street driving.
