Rob, didn't actually weigh it but the chromoly tube was lighter then the frame piece I took out and took out more metal I put back. I'd say 5lbs at most, did it more for the room then weight reduction.

Ya, a lot of changes but now almost done so this combo is best and staying with it.

Dont hit anything! That actually might make it much easier to repair if you did have an accident. those tubes also look close to sway bar size, you might be able to use the body mounts off one to mount other things. just an idea

Now that the frame works all done i moved on to mounting my fans. Didnt want any overheating issues so i bought the 2 biggest fans thatll fit. They flow 2,210 cfm ea. so i should be good. Made a frame for um, welded mounting nuts behind the core support to bolt the top to and a bolt welded to the frame for the bottom swing. There about 3/4" away from the radaitor and plenty enough room around the trans cooler to pull air from and through the trans cooler to help cool that as well.

Also ran my brake lines in the rear. Threw on a braided flex line then hard line from the T to the calipers. Opted for no braided line from rearend to calipers since i can pull the pads out from the top and really ever pull axles and for some strange reason i need to theres enough flex in the line to do so. Then welded up a mounting bracket to the t-top well to hold up the fuel line.

Brake lines look really clean, nice work on that. School of thought I use with the rear brake lines, is I run a T on the body, and run a line out to each corner in the back, and a flexible line to the caliper. This way, if I have to pull the rear I can hang the calipers in the car and never have to crack a brake line and rebleed them, even if I have to remove the entire rear out of the car. It's a little more work to do it that way I think but the first time you want to take the rear out for whatever reason, you won't have to worry about rebleeding the brakes... worth it to me.

It does make things easier to work on. As I'm in the middle of redoing everything on my car (chassis is in the shop now) I'm trying to cover every aspect of the car, and trying to make it as easy as possible to work on, from all angles. As things progress, I will add more pictures to the rebuild thread, and as I get further along with the car alot of stuff that I'm doing with it, I think people will really like, especially ones that have been doing these cars for a while and know the in's and out's... it's the little things that are going to really make it

Got it all finished, just needs to be fully welded up. Needless to say im pretty happy! Looks like it should flow pretty good with enough straigh on the merge to not turbulate before the turbo. Next is getting the brace on it to support the turbo and weld in my WG.
