Got a Treadstone intercooler and eBay piping kit. It'll all be cut up and welded together.

Got some much needed work done on the car. Got my intercooler support all done finally. I have about 10 hrs into making it all but well worth it!! It is all out of chromoly to keep with my light weight goal, so all said n done its still only about a 1.5 lbs to 2 lbs max. Basically I welded plates to the frame with nuts welds to the back side for the base plate then made the support bolt to it like the bumper support does. Did this so when working on car I can remove it for more room. VERY sturdy with no swing and once cold side is bolted to it that will siffen it up as well......

Thanks guys, it's comin along except now by making the IC support I created more work for myself. The tube part of the frame flexes a little bit when I push down hard on the support. Will it be fine?....prob but I don't want to take a chance so I'm getting more 1/2" round tubing and adding 2 more bars to tie the front end together more THEN it's cold side fabbing.

sweet build...it always feels nice to make something yourself or when some ask "where did you buy that from" and you replay with "I made it"

Oh he'll ya!! Makes the car more "priceless" and care more about it then just buying parts and throwing it together.

Been bustin *** the past 2 weeks in garage working on cold side. Took for ever to figure out how to run it but figured it out. Snaked it right through the little opening right to the intercooler. I got about a inch Clearance all around and Hotside will be wrapped so I'm not worried. Still got tape on other side holding it in place till my buddy welds it but you get the idea. BOV will be by the TB somewhere also. By next weekend it should be all done!

Down pipe will be 5" out the side of either the fender or bumper cover

when is this thing gonna be done I want to see/hear it run or make some pulls or something. Setup is so clean I wish I had all that room available on a 04 gto. It is prolly there but would require the a/c to be removed and the core support cut out and radiator moved forward and what not.

I've seen this thing go through all it's different setups over on chitown by far this is the best IMO.

Thanks bowtie, this has deff went 100,000x over what I started out as a goal and now I'm soo knee deep in **** with it and soo close to being finished I'm gonna finish it right. I just hope the internals are still good and not all dried up inside from sitting for so long, lol.

On the other hand, bring over your gto and I'm sure we can make room in there!

Got it all finished up finally and all welded, pretty happy with the outcome of it!! Next on the list is fabbin up the feed and drain flanges for the turbo and run the lines and buy 5" pipe from somewhere to finish down pipe.
