More progress...
Finished all my vacuum lines. Did it all out of the plastic quick fittings. Stuff is really cheap and easy/fast to work with!! Took me about a hr before I drilled into the compressor cover, lol..
Then moved to the battery. Made a hold down bracket for it. Pretty self explanatory here. Made 2 mounting posts I welded in truck and top screws down to secure it. Ran power wires from cut off switch and routes through truck to where I welded little mounting studs to mount power wire to. From here it will run to fire wall and connected to power block. For the ground I welded a stud to fre rail and done...

this car is absolutely amazing, i wish i had found this thread earlier because i really like the leash electronics you went with. looks like an awesome piece, its small and very affordable.
Just read all 40 pages. Took two days. And I came across this thread because the car is for sale in the classifieds. Tell me this isnt true? How could you sell it after working on it for like 4 or 5 years?! I've doing a very similar build. I think you actually answered a few of my questions on my posts.
BTW, page 30, post 599, you said you would never sell this car. I hope I just gave you the guilt trip that changes your mind

Verdad Gallardo Pretty damn close to being fired up but I quit. I'm just done building the car. One thing I will regret is loosing all the custom parts on the car. Either way I have a plan that will be killer in the end. And who knows, maybe the car won't ever sell and I finish it. But till then ya it's for sale.
Guess my guilt trip didnt work. Well think of it this way, if you finish it and take it to the track its win win. The guys that have been following this build will finally see some times and race weight, plus having times would help sell the car faster. Just an idea
Yea I'm sure eventually it will come back to finish it but I also don't want to be out 2 more years without a car to drive. Well see in the next month or 2 and if it doesn't sell I'll try and work on it more.
Your not selling it man! Get it running and you will be so happy honestly it gets frustrating i know but you just need to hear it run for 10 seconds and it will be worth it!
