Nice!! I am also doing one the same way. I just started my though. I will be following your build up. Looks kick *** so far!

Here's my Project Red Nightmare. My goal is to get the weight down to 2800#'s and run mid-low 10's with a carbed cam only LS1 with a th350 with 4800 stall. I think it's possible seeing how my 99 Z28 has run 11.29@120+. It's cam only, 3350#'s, 4.10's, t braked th350 4000 stall. I haven't started cutting on it yet except for the wipe cowl area. Lots of cutting to come though

Small pile of stuff removed from the inside

All the wiring has been removed

Cut wiper cowl

This is my 11 sec cam only Z

Wow. that is damn light. My car comes in at 2810ish with the last rounds of mods then I add my 200 lbs in the seat. I'm not sure where I could find 200 lbs of weight. I can maybe see 100 lbs but of course I've cut nothing off of the car. Good luck with your project.

some more updates...

Got my griffin radaitor in today. Cut the upper support to mount upright and did a "test paint" on the drivers side. The part that was cut out was pretty decent weight wise. The metal there is pretty damn thick.

So the car weight will be close to 2600lbs?
So we're talking about 1000lbs lighter than stock.
That's impressive.
