Looks good. I'm going to chop the whole front off and use the stock radiator and fans. It should drop a lot of weight too.

yea i was watchin that thread. I just like how a nice new pimpy new radaitor looks! Kinda like how wheels/tires make the outside, valve covers and sweet aluminum radaitors work well together under the hood together, lol.

Heres my radaitor bracket for mounting it upright. Piece of steel welded on a angle to meet the curve of the radaitor and a a "C" channel piece welded to that to keep it from moving front/back and falling off. Put on a piece of rubber on the arms to keep it from rubbing through the sides of it. VERY solid and cant move anywhere...

yes sir! Just slides right down into place then bolt on the top straps and off you go!! Only took me 3 days of staring at it to come up with something. Its pretty tricky when your trying to mount a flat bottom radaitor to a piece thats angled a lot.

You can get yourself an entry-level delay box too. Wire it up to open the nitrous a few hundredths of a second after the trans-brake launch. That way the cars tires are fully planted and the weight is transferred before the nitrous engages. It will prevent you from blowing the tires off of the line. You can adjust your ET's that way too if you decide to bracket race it or whatever.

I did the same thing a while ago. Once you are at this level of taking it apart it doesn't make sense to stick with the LT1. I've made almost as much money parting out my engine as I have in the whole car. My new setup is going to support a lot more power and be much more budget oriented than building an LT1.

5.3s are super cheap. There was a complete running engine on my local craigslist for $300. I sent the guy a message, but it had already sold. Congrats on making the correct choice.

I have the perfect turbo for you if you are looking for one. It's a GT4202, 74mm, T6 flange, 1.15 AR that's just been rebuilt and has zero miles on it. It's rated to 1000hp, but will work well on smaller engines. A guy in the forced induction section has one on his stock LS1 and it put out some nice numbers. The info and pictures are in the link in my sig.
