project tin can shootin for 9's
But, hell. If you want a lot of power, this is definitely the way to go.
I agree with your decision totally, it's just not impressive seeing an LSx car running 10's. It's almost as though they are expected to when you see one with slicks and skinnies. To see an N/A LT1 car running 10's, that draws some attention.
I'm not taking shots here either, just busting your ***** a little. I'm sure in the long run it will be cheaper and run the numbers, I just wish you'd have kept going with the LT1 build.
i think fast lsx cars r a dime a dozen. but i would have done the same im build my lt1 with a high 9s goal but when that gets old and i get the money im goin lsx. how can you beat a motor that can run 10s in a 3xxxlb car with only a cam? ill be lurking on this thread lik ive been i enjoy the project threads especially this one

I had the same argument a few weeks back with someone. You think back in 1960s there was a group of people thinking the same thing?....They all ran flat heads and were mad at the SBC and it was an easy way to go fast? Its called envy.
Antiques are cool but everyone knows they are not practical.
