Im not excited at all to get a new engine. I will pry run the cam I have already.

Well started swapping stuff over and finally figured out what cam it had. It wasnt the 224/224 like the pcm said. Its a g5x3 on 114.

What a pita. Havent even pulled the pistons outta the ls1 yet. Still swapping other stuff so I can get the 5.3 set in.

you are quick to get things put together. then equaly quick to blow them up. do you have any plans of trying to make this engine last?

Anymore details on the alt setup. How it is mounted using the stock bracket and how the belt in tensioned etc.

Well Havent got a whole lot of progress. Things im doing

Turn One PS Pulley
Finish Putting accessories on
Spohn Solid Mounts
2 Bar SD

Gonna be another week before it gets set back in waiting on a weld flange for the oil pan.

Motors ready to go in. Waiting to get the turbo back should be beginning of next week, oil pan bung needs welded for the return. Ill try to get some pics tonight. blakern any one around you know mig or tig aluminum tom?

Talked to a buddy thats a welder @ a machine shop. He can do it for you Monday if that works for you. He lives in Kearney so let me know if that works for you.

blakern: thanks but im going to do it at work on monday with a tig.

I already drilled and tapped it but with the motor out im gonna do it right and weld a fitting on there instead.

Here are some pics of the 5.3 ready to go in.
