I havenīt doen anything else but balancing. Bearings and all look perfect after ~ 40 pulls over 1100 hp on the engine dyno. Time will tell how long time it will last

I have seen these stock cranks bend around the 600hp mark wich is another reason Why I personally believe some thing may have been done to help it out along the way.

FWIW I am not trying to start something or be a jerk, Thats just my personal opinion...
How have you seen stock cranks bend at 600hp? what bent ?

+1. most builders try to keep it to themselves, and that is fine.

just don't want others to go in the wrong direction with their build and waste money when the motor goes.

No ls1 crank bends at 600hp! Your personal opinion and your so called finding are false.Something else was going on it the motor if this was the case.

Well If your familiar with a crank shaft and how they work, It will Bend, or flex under added stress before it actually breaks. Any one who services cranks for a living will tell you that when you subject a crank to High Rpm under load It flex and at some point it starts physically set in. Each set of Rod journals is forced downward by the Explosion. At the back end of the crank is were it conects to the rest of the driveline. In order to transfer the power through the drive line Your Fly wheel or tourque converter must engage. when it engages, it resist the force in which is being applied.

Harland went 8.20 on a stock crank...

Mike Brown went low 8's on a stock crank..

We've made 1000 rwhp on a stock crank and never ate/worn a bearing etc due to crank flex. I probably wouldnt use one past 1000 rwhp.

i've seen a 05 dodge diesel that can't spin tires going uphill on grass. there are exceptions and random occurrences that cannot be explained. From my experience, they happen all the time.

Well I am going to say that there are a lot of people that have made and are making this type of power on stock cranks. Now there have been a few failers, but as with anything timming chains etc... it happens and while if I was intentionally building a big HP car I probably would go ahead and buy an after market crank, but I am running a stocker in my black car currently 346 with an F1R and its made 826rwhp @4800-5000 and don't have any issues with it yet. It was a back up motor etc...

Awsome!!! Good to hear!!!

I believe the few failures I have seen are more related to things like Tunning, Building procedure, Maintenance and so On. I still have not seen one actually Break Though... It's really hard to say for sure With out Physically being involved in each case were there was a failure. I have heard the record was in the 1500 Hp mark in a turbo application. At any rate It's good to see so many Pushing the limit and continually setting new records.

Camaroandreas, Please keep us updated whith your set up.

I'll be the first to say i'm not surprise one bit about how much power his engine is making. If everyone with built bottom ends and pyramid rings like his (along with supporting mods) there would be many, many more setups like this pushing over 1,100 horses with stock cranks and heads. What seems to be the case with most of the high HP cars is that they blow out their head gaskets before they can make the most of their motor.

(whats the use of 2000 hp rated bottom end when you're blowing out the head gaskets at ~900 because of a 4 bolt setup?)

Keep up the good work camaroandreas!

First dragrace competition is next month and the car is almost finished.
Iīm not turning the boost down, i will start at 26 psi and see how it goes.
We donīt have as nice prepped drag strips here in sweden as you guys over there, but iīm pretty shure i will make some nice 7 sec passes.
