That is an 18" long piece of 3.5 inch exhaust pipe with stainless steel wool in it. My engine and dry sump tank vent into it. It has a drain on the bottom

Went to Dragway 42 tonight. Was only running 8 psi, I only have about an hour on the engine but the trap speed in the 1/8th and 1/4s within a half MPH
Track was terrible saw big tire car blow the tires off lol.
Best pass was a terrible 1.6 60' 9.8@142 ran 112 in the 1/8
Made five passes in two hours, all in all the car felt solid.

How large of a dry sump tank did you end up going with? That is the exact place where I was planning on mounting the one in my 93. I have been saving my LS7 front cover, oil pan, windage tray, and oil pump for a reason.

It is the OBX tank off of Fleebay. The system holds 9 quarts pretty easy.
7.25 diameter 16" long

I just looked those up. $100 is super hard to beat. They list the one in that size as holding 5-6 quarts. I guess it holds quite a bit more than that. Did you get the 5 or 6 fitting one?

5 fittings, I was worried about them saying it was 5 quart but it holds a little over 7 in the tank alone. 9 total in the system.

i highly suggest you read up on what phil99vette has said about hotside sizing. he's done alot of r&d and math and has it down to a science. long stoy short, 3" is too big.

Ray's car has a new 88mm turbo on the car this year along with some other goodies. It is going to fly. Rumor has it he was out cruising around enjoying some of warm(er) weather we're finally getting here in Ohio today as well.

As long as you are helping me out please answer a few quick questions. My turbo makes 175# of air how many CFM of air is moving at 25# of boost before the intercooler and after assuming the after cooler temp is 100*
Also what is the volume of air running through the exhaust after it has expanded to exhaust temps? What would the difference in pressure drop due to friction difference between a 2 1/2" and a 3" crossover? Does the length of the crossover have more or less effect that the diameter on volume, pressure drop and velocity?
Finally what is the velocity difference at the exhaust volume between a
2 1/2" and a 3" crossover? I have read what Phil has written and appreciate what he has done.
There is a lot to consider and I don't appreciate you shitting in my thread, nutswinging off Phil acting, like I don't know what I am doing.

Since the topic of crossovers is up for discussion, where did your idea stem to go with 3'' crossover in the first place koolrayz? Just curious to your logic behind the build.

Car moves out for sure!
