Default custom serpentine belts

where are you guys getting your custom lenths serpentine belts from. I moved my alternator to passenger top and deleted my powersteering pump. thanks

theres no custom length. just measure what you need with some string and go buy it from any auto parts place

so i just go to the auto part store and say i need a 74" serpentine belt and thats it?

if there anything like around me they will ask what year vehicle no matter what you say. but ya just tell them what size you need

theoretically yes

but most auto parts counter people are going to argue with you that a 74" belt wont fit on a 96 firebird (car in your sig) or they wont know how to find a 74" belt based on the fact that its not listed under a 96 firebird. but if your lucky enough to get the guy that knows how to decipher the part number tell him you need a belt that is X inches long with X number of ribs on the pulleys

They usualy go...k060725 or something similar. With the 6 being the number of ribs and the 725 meaning 72.5 inches long.

I had no problem using the length to get the correct belt. I bought several from Schucks that way.

lol lol lol I bet you are right. Im gonna try autozone first. thanks alot for the infor guys

I measured 49 5/8" in lenth with out the adjustable tensioner on the belt.
