Whats the highest boost on 2bar setup?
Im currently running 15.5psi using a sd tune and 2 bar sensor. My tuner mentioned that im maxed out at this level due to running pump gas. We had to lower the timing to about 15 total to eliminate all knock.
Im thinking of adding a meth kit and running 18psi out of my tc78. Can you tune the car on a 2bar at 18psi? I know 2 bar is 14.7 but ive heard of people running more as am I at 15.5psi but I wanted to dicuss any possible issues.
Thanks
Alex

Should be ok at 18psi, your just stuck with the same timing and fueling as you would at 14.7(the limit of the 2bar sensor) you will likely be running a bit rich at 14.7 psi with a little less timing than it could maybe take so as your safe at 18psi.

I'm running a 226/228 .600/.612 on a 115lsa with p/p 241s.
I could just throw in a 3 bar but I understand its harder to tune and I was
Just wondering if you could run a 2 bar up to 18psi

Yes you can but as stated, you will have to tune the 210KPA line on the VE table based on 18 psi which may run rich if you were to back it back down. This would be less noticeable with a BRFPR. The additional fuel pressure at higher boost might be close but it still needs to be retuned.

Most 2-bar sensors will be correct up to around 18-19psi. It is a myth that they stop registering right at 14.7psi above atmospheric. Best to stay with the 2-bar as long as possible as your TPS resolution is finer than with a 3-bar. The 3-bar would leave you with less resolution and a bunch of range unused at 18psi or less.

No advantage at all to using 2 bar. 3 bar resolution is excellent.
