Don't go by the dyno numbers and I bet your lock up clutch isn't holding, most aren't designed to. My STS GT67 turbo 3.73 3200 only dynoed 330rwhp there was a difference of 780rpm between the crank and the rearend. Took it to the track, spun to 1/2 track and I coasted thru the lights and it still ran 13.1 @105 it's a vert so I was just trying to do some wot runs withoug getting kicked out.
I've heard stories of cars with convertors and gears 3.73's or lower adding nitrous or boost and the dyno actually shows a loss.

Add the timing and forget about using the dyno for a hp measurement. Talk to the convertor builders on this forum they take their products to the track, dyno isn't a good measurement.

Um is this a stock 4l60????? If so then still would be big dollars on trans slipping.
More timing as people say is good to but really should likely be running alc meth injection depending on fuel ,etc.
Also remember this is an auto so you do lose more 20% versus say 15% for manual.
I doubt the dyno is messed if its a dynojet. Now if it was mustang or other make a lot more variables.

I don't know what kind of power I'm making but I ran the same exact time with 7lbs in my car with the stock bottom end, 241's, and my cam. I have the ls1 and the t70, just giving you a little comparison that's all. I was spinning off the line, pulled timing due to high iat's, and bounced off the limiter. I have 42lbers and they are maxed out. I've got a th400 with a brake going in shortly, so we will see how that does
If you can, add 3* of timing or so and see what it puts down then. If you can't atleast post up the dyno sheet

i kinda scrolled through this thread and struck an interest..i just finished my 2002 camaro with ptk turbo kit...i have a bone stock motor with 60lbs injectors, 3800 vigilante converter, built transmission by PATC and masterpower70 turbo, and methanol kit...taylor at dallas performance tuned my car and it produced 476hp and 478lbs tq at only 5200 rpm on 11psi...i ran out of mass air and the valve springs arent strong enough according to the information on the dyno sheet....the guy that actually started this thread said he was lookin for 600 hp it just wont happen unless you have a 6speed...converter autos just dont put that kinda of power down...also the stock cam is perfect for a turbo unless you have a built motor. i have recently replaced the stock mass air and the valvesprings and i will post up new numbers in the next week or so when i take the car back to dallas performance.

auto converter trannys are not dyno queens, they do there talking at the track....im goin back in a week or so to get it retuned with the new valve springs and mass air...we are lookin for about 520whp. some people may disagree but a 500hp automatic with a good converter will outrun a 6speed 600hp car at the track all day i see it every weekend.

My C5 made 437 RWHP on a tired LS1 and stock exhaust at 8#s.With cutouts added and street tires it ran 11.2 @ 127.T70 turbo.I agree on not placing too much emphasis on the dyno #s.It's just a good tuning tool.Add some race fuel when you start playing with timing. It'll save your motor.
Good luck.
Good luck.

ok so ill do my best to hit all the points that have been brought up.
Dont ask me how its last but yes , as far as i know its a stock tranny. i bought the car BONE stock. it been a good one.
on the highway when its IN 3rd you can hit it and it does not slip, (i NEVER ever abuse overdrive) so i know its not on the dyno. on TRACK however, it now is slipping into 3rd and never actually egauges (this last weekend)
The converter is staying locked. It always shows clearly on the graph if it pops loose , it always has, ( back when my car was a nitrous car making 491 with the stock ls1 in it.) may it rest in peaces
i did turn the timing up to 14 and it feels bettr but i cant say i felt 100 , 80 or for that matter even a 30 hp increase, not saying it didnt do it, just saying my butt dyno didnt feel it and with the tranny slipping into 3rd (which is a new thing) i couldnt see the results in my e.t.
And yes i could use meth, or race fuel , but i drive the car every day and im ALWAYS hitting it on the highway and having people "try me" constantly and i just dont like the idea of "enablers" right now. maybe later.
the whole point of me going turbo was so that i didnt have to keep an eye on bottle pressure and level, all the time. no one likes to be caught off gaurd
And to comment on the wastegate, if it was to small then i would get boost creep wouldnt i ? no creep here. but maybe theres a variable there im missing.
hope this helps, and thanks so far for all the input. keep it coming, i need to get this PITA figured out before i do somthing stupid.

i know im a forced induction newb, but does the ls1 intake stick out to anyone?? would this hinder upper end performance at all? or does it just get crammed in any ways? also if the cam wasnt degreed correctly this could vastly affect engine power and torque? just was browsing really quick and thought id throw those out there.

With that E/T and weight puts you right at 550RWHP. This site has been VERY reliable for me: http://www.freewebs.com/soslo/formulas.htm (got my E.T. within .02 on every setup I've had on the car). I converted your 1/8 to a 1/4, then weight and E.T. to power. It is still not 100% accurate, but it put you at 548RWHP.
