Calling out APS
I agree though that a $10-12K budget is more realistic.
I was happy to see APS be able to offer a kit for under $6,000, but I suspected that it would probably just be temporary as without a profit companies don't stay around.
Sucks to see another turbo company go.. Had they just increased the price a couple grand and used premium parts they might have really had something..
i am starting to think that aps cares( a few have gotton help, i didnt) so i believe peter is our problem
As the first C5 guy to receive his APS TT kit back in December of 06, and as a big proponent of the APS system, this absolutely disgusts me. I saw it happen on the C5 end of things, and felt that it was only a matter of time before it came to a head. When you abandoned the C5 market with the inlet restriction issue, it left me feeling uneasy. Currently I have your kit on my car still, sans inlets (filters on turbo's), with two leaky turbo's, all new oil scavenge lines, and a new scavenge pump. Your kit was well thought out and designed, but poorly executed and even more poorly supported. Numerous PM's I've sent to you both here and on Corvette Forum were ignored, and when I requested to purchase a set of the hard 70mm C5 inlet pipes, you disregarded me even though I was a paying customer and told you I had cash in hand.
It sickens me that no body learned from the OFI debacle. Oh wait, you did learn, people did at least get their kits. Then had to replace the most expensive components. Is that really better?
That's all I have on that.
For everyone else:
Concerning the turbo's: AFAIK, the C5 and F-Body kits turbo's are the same. From what I've seen, they're a standard (knock-off) 20G with APS's proprietary exhaust housing. Would we be able to buy a LEGIT 20G and swap the exhaust housing on?
Concerning getting the word out: APS hasn't mentioned cancelling it's other kits, so the word of this needs to get out on the EVO, 350Z, G35, and Subaru forums. Let's let the guys who may end up losing out still the word that APS has gone completely shady.
How come it wasnt taken down EIGHT MONTHS AGO when the kits were "supposedly" at an end of production? Imagine that!
You are a very poor liar.

What was the final word on the manifolds? Was there a minimum order of 50?
If so what was the price?
+1 on changing the flange.
What about the intercooler? Anyone know who APS had make that?
I know it's hard being civil when dealing with APS. I don't even own one and I slam APS any chance I get. Peter is in a different country and he/APS doesn't give a flying #@$@ about some Americans that drive F bodys. I wish there was someway we could actually effect APS's business so they would take notice of what they have done but I doubt we can.
APS came in, made and offer, delivered a pretty good product , one of the best kits made to date, and are now leaving. We probably should be thankful. Things come and go and Peter said they would make kits as long as the market was big enough... perhaps the time has come. I suppose we should be glad, he did deliver... perhaps not perfectly, but APS did alot for the LS1 community. I agree, his bedside manor has gone to the pond, and maybe thats the real personality inside, but so be it.

The F body TT system will be produced for as long as there's sufficient customer demand.
