Accufab 4 barrel t body for boost lsx
#4
a 4 barrel carb hat like procharger uses for their carb systems would work good for boost since the system is pressurized the little bend wouldn't be a problem.
I guess you already know with a big single plane and a 4 barrel throttle body your cowl and wipers may be in trouble. In a race car it doesnt matter much though.

Persoannly, Im not convinced there is anything to gain over an elbow and a 105mm FI TB yet, but would sure like to know if there is one, it looks cool too.
Two options I was looking at:
carb hat http://www.smreperformance.com/index.html with http://www.moranmotorsports.com/prod...roducts_id=101.
Or one of these http://www.prolineraceengines.com/ca...19c82a02e866b5 with http://www.moranmotorsports.com/prod...roducts_id=162.

the accufab 4150 tb is by far the best setup for a fi carb style intake setup. It has WAY better airflow distribution that an elbow could ever dream of.The sacrifice is hood clearance.

Same hat about 90% of blow thru's are using out there now, look at Denny Savages old car, it works. I'll need a 6" cowl to put a longer bend on it. Second option, same thing. I'm a tall deck BBC, gotta make **** work and the second option is most likely gonna be it. A 4 brl TB and hat will add 8+ inches on top of the manifold using the hat in that link.

Do any of you guys recommend using something like this as well? I called them and told them about my setup and they recommended a 2" tapered spacer. They said these spacers do a lot more than just increase the plenum volume.

See thats what I see and hear. I seen cars with a elbow on a vic jr switch to a 4 barrel and pick up close to 30 hp across the board and tq. I dont work for any sponsers lol. But it just shows me that they out flow a elbow set up even with a 90/90 setup. Need less to say Im going for it lol!
