T4 good to 18 but not to 22psi I take it?
-I've learned more stuff from your builds-

I'm getting a TB from Jake also. You'd probably be on the edge w/ stock shafts in an 80E from my research. The n2o guys are the ones that have to go to the shaft upgrades sooner. Around $800 option....I had to spend $600 at GP prices to get awd adapters so no shaft upgrade for me.

I'm glad to see you going to a t6 flange, are setups will be pretty close to the same. I will probably be hitting you up when it comes to tuning/track time for some knowledge.

You should give Jakes Performance a call about a 4l80, I am happy with mine so far. MVB and a brake.
I was toying with the idea of a 4L80E. The problem is that even with the great price that he was willing to do, I still would need a new converter. That would add up to too much money for me. That and I'm not real crazy about adding anymore weight to my car.

I called my buddy Greg @ FTI and he put together a price that was too good to pass up on a glide. I should have it in a couple of weeks. The turbo should love it.

I was at 22-23 psi to run the 8.9's thru the exhaust. You can just tell though that it's out of breath.

Curious to see the improvement with the t6...

I went with the Garret 91mm with the pt88 t4 housing (like mightymouse) based off his car and yours....

Having come from the NA and nitrous school of thought, I know how important getting the exhaust out is to building power. With my 408 and 350 shot, the car ran a 9.33. I had 2" primaries and true dual 3" exhaust. Then I get this turbo and I am look at this little T4 flange that all my exhaust is going thru and I'm thinking that there is no way that I will go faster if all my exhaust has to travel thru this one tiny little hole. I did go faster and easier but I know that there is a bunch left there. For all intent and purposes, it's free horsepower in terms of stress to the motor. Sort of like putting long tubes on an NA car with exh manifolds.

My next mod once it's breathing will be the 91mm front end.

91mm FTW! There is a silver TA making 900-1100rwhp AUTO that was messing around during the texas supra nationals. Nice car.

Can you get more info on that bracket? Price? Do you have any issues, my current set up, is a little out of line and it squeaks from the side of the belt rubbing the edge of the pulley. It's a pita dealing with it.

I was tossing belts for a while until I shimmed it just right. Also had to get one of the brackets rewelded because a weld broke. Not the best piece to be honest.

I'm running the old Flex-a-lite thin pushers with the straight blades and the standard size Griffin that everyone runs. Sorry, don't have the part#'s handy. I will say that apparently it's the WRONG combo because it is running way too hot IMO. I really need to address it. The car pretty much sits during the summer as it's WAY too hot here and rains almost every afternoon to be driving around without A/C.

This tread has made me spend to much money! ugh now im thinking of buying a gt-88 or gt91 t4.....

Hey man your still on all out pump gas? Or you on e85? i know 85 is kinda hard to get down by you.

Edit--
No meth. E85 all the time now. It's kind of a pain in the *** to get a hold off and the **** goes fast. You would think that West Palm Beach, being one of the major Florida cities would have it somewhere, but we don't. Have to make a 1 hr round trip to get it and it's almost exactly the same distance away to the north as to the south. I think I get like 11 mpg on the corn fuel. LOL
Nevermind i just read your post a few pages back. How much did you get for your th350? mines for sale right now. its all brand new also.

And dude im e85 too, if i put two gallons in it i think i can go 20 miles but if i even get in the boost a little bit that 2 gallons is gone instantly!

If you were to only run 1/8 th mile and not drive it on the street as much would you think it would be worth it to go with a higher gear ratio?

Nothing new. I have a temperature problem and maybe a bearing problem. It is so hot here this time of year that nobody is really racing so I haven't been too motivated to address any of the existing issues, much less redo the kit to accommodate the bigger exhaust housing.

I'm starting to miss it though. Car's been parked for like 4 months.

Great thread! Thanks for taking the time to detail the build. It is helpful in trying to plan out my own!
