I was wondering if you were going to go that route. I saw that setup that VFN sells... and did think about it but it's way more work then I want to partake in.

Jumped back on the cage today. Got all the bars for the driver-side floor upgrade fit and/or tacked in. I cut out and moved the seat support so it sat lower. Way I had it before my helmet was way too close to the funnycar cage

Once I get it all 100% welded then I'll get the bottom side painted and do something with the floor

The new style VFN hoods like Fireball and I have, are sloped at the windshield for better visibility/looks.

One question. Why do you still have some of the stock floor and tunnel in there? I would think at this point it would be much easier to work in there with if completely gutted?

Whats that famous saying? Oh...gotta take two steps back to take one step forward...well thats what sums up my progress this weekend

I was very unhappy with how the driver-side secondary diagonal (where it meets the hoop) came out due to how awkward it is to get a torch in there (really ugly weld). So I cut that sh%t out and redid it

Also started fitting in the new driver seat.

Also snapped a pic from under the car. With just a little bit more finish welding, the cage will be up to 25.2 spec. Still need to see what is needed to take to 25.3 (in the back)

woohoo...thanks to Chris (veee8) for letting me borrow his 25.3 book. It appears that my back section is up to 25.3 spec...so once I finish up the few welds I have left, then the cage will be 25.3

I've thought real hard about just changing back to an 88 and throwing a 275 on the back...but realized all this work would be all for nothing
