Wow, I'm sorry to hear about this. That sucks soooo bad. I feel your pain about the BS3. That software had all sorts of upload glitches. I'd spend 10 minutes making changes based on a log, save it, upload, cycle the key, and sometimes they just wouldn't take and I would have to do it all over again. But there is nothing wrong with it. Don't believe me? Call BS3 and ask them, they'll tell ya.

Send me a PM as to the issues that you guys are having with the Holley. The only issue that I am aware off at this time is big boost on stock coils which should be fixed as soon as the new units are done. Since you run a distributor, you shouldn't have any issues. The other work around is running the Holley coils which is what we are doing until it's resolved with good success.

I don't run a distributor...I'm not involved with the issues with Holley on the other motor...I'm just saying what I've been told

I can deal with most of BS3's quirks...its a pretty good system when it works correctly. My concern is that I found a very dangerous quirk in the system that NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED

Those guys are such a ******* joke it's crazy.

For almost a year a couple of buddies chased down BS3 problems. Spending countless hours on the phone with them, sending it to them and back and forth. Getting told they were doing something wrong etc. After getting a NEW BS3 in the car, same tune uploaded etc...PERFECT. Put the old BS3 in another BS3 car that ran perfectly before...ran like **** with the problem one.

I wouldn't send those guys a penny unless it was my last option.

Sorry to hear about the motor, Fireball.

Another bright side: This motor makes some steam...I was doing 110mph at 500ft with a very lazy boost profile and only 14psi total.

My bad. I could have sworn that you scrapped the LS1 coils and went to the rubber band style set up.

MANNNNN....I was all pumped to hear solid shakedown results

Sorry to hear about the "Bull **** 3" (BS3) being retarded.
I think they forgot to add a "P" and an "O" before S in BS3 because really it should say "BPOS3" on that box for "Biggest Piece Of **** 3"...
An expensive system like that should work flawless all day, PERIOD!
Good luck getting her back together Brian, soon enough you;ll be flying thru the traps

looks like it needs:

2 sleeves
2 pistons
2 rods
cam
some lifters
welding up on the head...

the piston that broke played pong. the rod would knock it up, the valves would knock it back down. amazing thing is shawn said the valves don't look bent

I did get over my frustration enough to go back in the garage...

fixed an issue keeping it from wanting to go into PARK
pulled turbo apart and cleaned it up....scavenge wasn't working too well (pulling a vacuum on the line) causing the housings to fill up with oil
added a vent to the turbo oil drain to make the scavenge work better (I hope)
changed rear springs for more adjustability...

pulled car out of garage and will bring the hood and golf cart in for some paint work

also gonna do some performance mods to the golf cart while I'm at it

That BLOWS man, horrible. I hope all goes well for you guys next go around. Still have me spooked about the bs3 considering we just put them in three of our cars.
