the amount of work done in a short period of time to make it to the track is amazing.
I didn't even have the correct main bearings until wednesday at noon. Put the engine together to the longblock on wednesday but late that night one of the upper head stud holes stripped out. Pulled the head a 5 am helicoiled and back on by 8am. finished the engine by 10am. Brian's wife Tabitha picked it up and left the shop around 11am and drove 5+ hours home. Brian then installs and has running by noon Friday. At the track making shakedown passes Friday night.
just freaking amazing for a turbo combination to have it together that fast.
after a couple bugs worked out-it should be a solid 4.70 car-maybe better.

I once again have to thank Shawn for his hard work in making this happen. Between waiting for parts and that powertv build he's involved with, he had very little time left to make this come together. Fortunately, he doesn't rush anything and still meticulously checked everything. Last friday he finds the main bearing clearance was way too big and had to do some more machine work and get a different bearing package to make everything work. He still managed to get it buttoned up in time for me to have in the car and racing this past weekend ![Hail](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_hail.gif)
If you want a FI motor built right...he's the man!!!

new scavenge pump is ordered and should be here Friday. Going to move the cam ICL a bit and readjust the valves as well.
Phil has figured out some tuneup changes to make to help the early numbers as well...
All-in-all...a good start
