no...the logs were showing signs of torque converter was starting to couple which pulls the engine down and reduces slip.

Anyone make a converter with enough disks/good design to lock 3000 hp?

GM made tons of lockup 350s in the 80s, and in the 90's Yank made a lockup th400, but I don't think they ever sold a kit.

Hughes and ATI both sell lock up converters and glides modified to work the converter...good article in Drag...benefits are ??????? vs cost and reliability.

ATI had one in Chris Rini's car car all of last year. It was good for a tenth in a bottom 6 sec car. Sounds like it has a 3 speed in it. We're going to put one in my 10.5 car after we get the converter figured out.

I just read through this entire thread from page 1-81, amazing. Your work is beautiful, and all that coming from a two car garage just let's me know I can get my build done in mine. Glad to see you stuck it out through all the trials and tribulations. You have some really good friends, helping you out. Good job man, congrats.

A mod that picks up a tenth AFTER the shift to high in a low 6 second car....think about how bad the eff was with the non lock-up converter...

Killer car AND killer passes Brian...congrats!

I was a pleasure to see your car at the YB nats. I have read pretty much all of the thread and followed the build of your car. It is always nice to see a car in person. It was also really nice to see the support from your wife. That must make your life a lot easier!

I wish you the best with your car, god knows you deserve it!
