im looking at your vid again, and I see that you are able to leave on the green. I cant do that as if I do I wont have the rpm or boost, and my 60 will be a 1.7

one thing I notice you do is build boost before the second bulb. i havent tried that yet - how much staging time will you say that cuts when you actually get to the second bulb vs if you used no footbrake

You only need 1-2 psi going into the 2nd bulb in order to get boost up fast on the tbrake.

A/F = 12.75 - 13:1
Increase the timing
Advance the cam
Make sure you dont have leaks on the cold or hot side.

are you using the dual caliper per wheel setup? i only have a single caliper setup and with 4.86 gears it might be tricky. i think i'll try fbodyjunkie's system of doing the brake boost in 3rd gear.

how are you doing that, if you dont mind? also related, how big a trans cooler are you using? thanks

i will try to lean it out like you suggest
timing is at 40 degrees in the brake.
i do have a couple of pinhole leaks in my coldside that i need to fix.

also, have you found turbo blankets to help with spool?

two transcoolers. air cooled thats ~12x12 (maybe a bit bigger) and one in my icetank thats 5x8

footbrake (dual calipers), until it hits first revlimiter, bump in to the beams and apply transbrake.

Stock brakes. You just have to have 2 2-steps. One is activated by the footbrake and the other is on the tbrake. You your first one starts popping at whatever the max that your footbrake can hold and starts building boost as you bump into the 2nd light. Then the launch 2 step kicks in when you push the tbrake button and release the foot brake.

You know that they can loosen it up down low and still make it tighter up top, right? Atleast Greg at FTI seems to be able to do it for us.

thanks for that info. I definitely need a big transcooler like you have.

im using the same system as you, holley efi, so I do have multiple rev limiters to use. my tb stalls to 3100-3200 and I see 100kpa(positive at 3100)
where do you have your footbrake rev limit set at rpm wise?

Out of curiosity, what kind of slip numbers are you seeing out the back door at 1/8 mile and 1/4?
