That's an interesting move, it'd probably be a little easier on parts, and I bet you could spool that LF88 a little better than the 106. Don't the PTE LF88 and the 106 you have share the same turbine? 111mm right?

yeah...it'll basically be a drop in replacement. turbine side is identical.

optimizing the 427 motor for the 88 wheel will be interesting...don't think we can rev very high so efficiency will be key.

I'd think with a little different cam profile you'd be able to make all that work no?

I think with the 427, smaller compressor with the 88, you will be able to get after it plenty in the first 330'.

I'm glad to see your keeping her in the stable. Good luck and can't wait to see what you, shawn and phil cook up next!

Good luck to you! I'm going down the same path, but going with the LF85 as I can't see the LF88 being worth the extra 200lbs. I'm trying to figure out some subtle changes for my motor to help get this done. Oh yea, I'm trying it with a 4 bolt motor! lol. This should be interesting.

considering I'm already 3340, I'll just have to add some weight up front...it wanted to wheelie anyhow when we got after it.

hard to change things like compression if you don't think about it first

I'm saying bolt it on to what you have.
Unless you have it apart already.

Im in the same boat as far as the 427 in X275. Im thinking low (under 7500rpm) and high compression is were I am going with the new car.

When you guys say high compression, how high is that? 11:1? 12:1? I know lots of other FI racers are going that route.

X275 is 4.70's-4.80's on a 88mm.
